Your Questions About Gonka
We've compiled answers to questions most frequently asked by newcomers. If you've just learned about Gonka and are unsure whether to participate – start with this page. We hide neither strengths nor risks: honest information is the best foundation for making decisions.
Didn't find an answer to your question? Try the free AI chat on our website – it works through the real Gonka network and can answer many technical questions. Or explore other articles in the knowledge base.
Before reading further: you can try the free AI chat on our website right now. It works through the real Gonka network with the Qwen3-235B model. No registration, no payment. The best way to verify that these are not empty promises is to try it yourself. After this, the answers to the questions below will seem more concrete.
Is Gonka reliable?
Gonka is a real project with several key indicators of reliability:
- Public Founders: The Liberman family – Daniil, David, Anna, Maria. Not anonymous founders, but people with a 20-year public track record: ex-Snap Inc. (Kernel AR exit for ~$64M), Product Science ($18M investment). Their biographies are verifiable via LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Forbes.
- Institutional Investments: approximately $80M from Coatue ($48B AUM), Bitfury ($50M Series B), Insight Partners ($90B+ AUM), Benchmark (early investor in eBay, Uber, Snap), Slow Ventures, K5 Global. These are not nameless “crypto funds” – these are first-tier funds with trillions in combined assets.
- CertiK Audit: smart contract security verified by the leading company in Web3 auditing.
- Open Source Code: all code on GitHub – anyone can inspect it.
- Working Mainnet: launched in August 2025, ~4,648 GPUs, ~113 participants, ~582 ML-nodes. The network processes real AI requests every day.
A counter-argument you may encounter: some automatic scanners (like gridinsoft.com) give a low trust score to new domains. This is not an evaluation of the project – it's an automatic scan of a young domain. Real indicators of reliability – investments, audit, public team, working network – speak for themselves.
Nevertheless: a reliable project does not mean risk-free. This is an early-stage crypto project with inherent risks. Read the following questions.
For comparison: in the crypto industry, most failed projects shared common traits – an anonymous team, no audit, no institutional investors, no working product. Gonka does not fit any of these criteria. But the presence of all “green flags” does not eliminate market and regulatory risks. A reasonable approach: verify everything yourself (code on GitHub, CertiK audit, founders' biographies), try the free AI chat, and make an informed decision.
How much does it cost to participate?
Depends on the chosen path. Here are all options from free to maximum:
| Path | Cost | What's needed | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI Chat (free) | $0 | Browser | We (demo via Gonka) |
| Pool (Mingles CloudMine) | from $30 | Money | Pool operator |
| Pool (Gonka.Top) | from $100 | Money | Pool operator |
| Pool (GonkaPool.ai, Hashiro) | from $100—500 | Money | Pool operator |
| Dedicated server | from $12,000/month | Money | Operator (Gonka.Top) |
| Own host | GPU ~$35K+ (H100) | GPU + skills | You |
For pools: you invest money, the operator rents GPUs and mines GNK for you. Payments are in GNK. Gonka.Top: collection in 2 weeks, monthly payments for 180 days. Mingles CloudMine: minimal entry threshold.
For a server: direct mining to your wallet. The operator handles setup, monitoring, and updates.
For your own host: requires NVIDIA GPU with 40GB+ VRAM, CUDA, Docker, stable internet, 24/7 uptime. The most profitable path — all rewards are yours, without fees. Detailed instructions are in the mining guide.
Important: this is an investment, not a bank deposit. Profitability depends on the GNK price and network load.
No hidden fees: in a pool, you only pay the initial fee, the operator's commission is already included in the terms. AI Chat is completely free — we pay for computations from our own wallet. GG Wallet and Gonka.Wallet are free. The only additional costs are network fees when transferring GNK (minimal, a few cents).
About profitability: we consciously do not state ROI percentages — because they depend on the GNK price, which can change in any direction. Projects promising “guaranteed X% monthly income” are almost always scams. Gonka is an investment in the early stage of a promising project, not a fixed-income instrument. More details on profitability factors are in the article “How much can you earn”.
Can I lose money?
Yes, there are risks – as with any crypto project. Let's list specific ones:
- Liquidity: GNK is not yet traded on major exchanges (CEX). Trading occurs on SafeTrade and via HEX OTC. With low liquidity, it can be difficult to sell a large volume at the current price.
- Volatility: the token price can both rise and fall. The current price is ~$0.54—0.68, but with low liquidity, sharp fluctuations in either direction are possible.
- Pool profitability: depends on the GNK price, network load, and number of hosts. If the GNK price falls, dollar income will decrease proportionally, even if you receive the same amount of GNK.
- Competition: the market includes Render, Akash, io.net, Bittensor, as well as centralized providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic). There's no guarantee that Gonka will capture a dominant market share.
- Regulatory risks: cryptocurrencies and DePIN projects may face stricter regulations in various jurisdictions.
- Technical risks: mainnet launched recently (August 2025), the network is still young. inferenced does not yet work on all configurations (AVX required on CPU).
What favors the project: $80M from tier-1 funds, CertiK audit, public team with 20 years of track record, working mainnet with ~4,648 GPUs – this is more serious than 99% of crypto projects. But “more serious” doesn't mean “risk-free.”
Rule: invest only what you are prepared to lose. This is not a bank deposit – it's an investment with risks. Nothing on this website constitutes financial advice.
How to minimize risks: start with a minimal investment ($30—100 in a pool) to understand the mechanics. Diversify: don't invest all your funds in one project. Set a loss limit for yourself – an amount whose loss won't affect your lifestyle. Follow project news through official channels. And remember: a detailed analysis of risks and prospects is in a separate article.
How to get started right now?
A step-by-step plan from zero to your first GNK:
- Try the AI chat for free: go to the AI chat page on our website. Ask a question – the real Qwen3-235B neural network will answer through the decentralized Gonka network. No registration, no payment. Make sure it works.
- Read “How to start earning GNK”: determine your path – pool, server, or your own host. Consider your budget, technical skills, and desired level of control.
- Install a wallet: GG Wallet (Chrome extension, open source) – a reliable option for desktop. Or Gonka.Wallet (Telegram Mini App) – a convenient mobile option. A wallet is needed to receive and store GNK.
- Choose a provider: go to the comparison page. Compare pools (Gonka.Top, GonkaPool.ai, Hashiro, Mingles CloudMine) and servers (Gonka.Top, Spheron). Pay attention to fees, payout history, referral programs.
- Get started: for a pool – registration and payment (10-15 minutes). For a server – payment and waiting for setup (1-2 days). For your own host – installation, setup, on-chain registration (several hours, see mining guide).
The entire process from first acquaintance to your first GNK: from 10 minutes (pool) to several hours (your own host).
How long it will take: AI chat – instantly (just open the page). Wallet installation – 2-5 minutes. Pool registration – 10-15 minutes. Dedicated server setup – 1-2 business days (operator does everything for you). Your own host setup – from several hours to a day (depends on experience). First GNK from a pool – in 2-4 weeks (pool collection time + mining start).
Don't delay the first step: the hardest part is starting. Try the AI chat right now – it will take 30 seconds and cost nothing. Ask any question: “What is Gonka?”, “Write a poem”, “Explain quantum physics” – and see that decentralized AI works. After that, each subsequent step will be easier.
