Devshard update to v5.0.3. Vote #111: AMD and AI ASIC support. Vote #110: GRC Proposal #4 - Refund. Vote #109: Network update to v0.2.16.
A minor update for Devshard has been released, including protocol changes to version v5 and binary tag to v5.0.3.
The proposal to add support for AMD hardware and specialized AI chips (ASIC) to the Gonka network has been rejected. This vote concerned expanding the types of hardware that can participate in the network.
The refund proposal (GRC Proposal #4) was accepted. This vote concerned the distribution of GNK tokens via a batch vesting scheme.
The proposal to update the network to version v0.2.16 was rejected, despite receiving 78.23% of votes. This update included important changes, such as:
1. **Trusted Weight**: Now, a participant's influence on voting and block confirmation depends on computations already confirmed in the previous epoch. This prevents gaining large influence quickly based on declared but not yet confirmed power.
2. **Dynamic Coefficients v1**: The network can now dynamically adjust coefficients for different AI models to balance load and ensure predictable throughput. This helps avoid situations where all hosts switch to the same model. A target percentage of computing power and a coefficient range are set for each model, within which the system will automatically adjust rewards.
3. **Transaction Fees**: Fees have been introduced to prevent network spam. Now, certain transaction types such as `epoch` and `cosmos` will cost 1 ngonka for gas. Hosts must ensure their accounts have sufficient funds to pay the fees.
